*All Newton Music School teachers perform Up Close and Musical on Friday, March 10th at 6:30 pm. This chamber music event enhances the music lesson experience by bringing together the musical community. Get your free tickets to be Up Close in a relaxed setting.

*This Women’s History Month, Cappella Clausura brings together contemporary theater and 17th-century music to create a rich tapestry of interwoven narratives about female resilience. Gain a new perspective on Baroque artist Artemisia Gentileschi and the women who inspired her through Artemisia, a captivating multidisciplinary event. Tickets are available for weekend shows on Saturday and Sunday.

*Join the Newton Art Association on Sunday, March 12th at 2:00 pm for an interactive online demonstration with Maureen Nathan. A contemporary British artist with a big commitment to drawing as a daily practice, Maureen often uses India ink with a chopstick or brush, which gives fluidity and looseness to the images. *New Phil Harmonia Orchestra presents the next event in their Classics Series: The French-American Connection featuring Olga Lisovskaya, soprano. This Classics II program on Sunday, March 12th at 3:00 pm will include works of Lili Boulanger, arias by Gounod, Kos-Anatolsky, and Bernstein as well as the great Symphony in d minor by Franck. Join the New Phil by attending this Classic Show for some winter inspiration.

*Zamir Chorale of Boston is delighted to host a Joint Concert with Nashirah, Philadelphia’s premier Jewish choral ensemble on March 12th at 3:00 pm.  This free event will feature music by Stephen Glass, Charles Davidson, Salamone Rossi, Jeff Klepper, Yehezkel Braun, and much more.
