Cherry Street Players at The Allen Center: Viva Maestra
Friday, December 2nd, 7PM
The Cherry Street Players present "Viva Maestra", the next performance of the series"Classical with a Twist." The concert begins with a performance by Cherry Street Cellists Quartet, interludes with refreshments with the musicians, and then concludes with musical performances composed or inspired by women.

NAA Allen Center Exhibition Fall 2022

Up Close & Musical - All Newton Music School
Friday, December 2, 6:30 pm
All Newton Music School presents a free faculty concert, Up Close & Musical. Listening to teachers perform chamber music together enhances the music lesson experience. These concerts are one hour in length and presented in a relaxed setting.
FUUSN Holiday Fair
Saturday, December 3, 9:30 am - 2:00 pm
Holiday Shopping with Heart at The First Unitarian Universalist Society in Newton Holiday Fair. Stalls and tables spill forth with treasures new and old. Items include handmade gifts, toys, jewelry, gifts/collectibles, homemade baked goods, jams and jellies, books, decorated wreaths, ornaments, and trees! And a Silent Auction.
A Holiday Songfest - Highland Glee Club

The men of the Highland Glee Club usher in the holidays with songs for Christmas and Chanukah in a variety of styles. Reception to follow.

Festival of Lights - New Art Center
Sunday, December 4, 12:00 pm - 4:30 pm
New Art Center lights up the winter with celebrations of Hanukkah, Diwali, Kwanzaa, and Las Posadas, Art educators will lead participants through different make-and-take activities that highlight the themes, rituals, and traditions of different holidays. Special events include DEAFinitely, a Danza Mexica ritual-inspired performance,an interactive Indian dance workshop, and the Jewish Arts Collaborative’s illuminated mobile art exhibit, Brighter Ignited.
Candles and Cards - Historic Newton

Historic Newton uses history to inspire handmade holiday cards and candles at a maker event. View historic greeting cards from the Archives and candle advertisements from the one-time factory run by the Jackson family at the Jackson Homestead.

Anton Nowels Demo - Newton Art Association

In this demonstration hosted by The Newton Art Association, award-winning artist Anton Nowels will demonstrate how he uses abstraction and impressionism in painting. Nowels uses an experimental approach to color developed by Josef Albers that allows for a great range of color choices.
Sting and Peter Gabriel - Newton Family Singers

Newton Family Singers returns to performing and sharing music with their Fall 2022 Concert: Sting and Peter Gabriel. This season we explore the music of Sting and his frequent collaborator Peter Gabriel. Celebrations! - New Philharmonia Orchestra

The New Philharmonia Orchestra is thrilled to bring back its favorite holiday tradition: Celebrations! featuring the Boston Ballet School. Boston Ballet School students perform alongside the New Phil Orchestra with scenes from the Nutcracker. This colorful holiday program will put the entire family in the holiday spirit!
