The Allen Center presents Cherry Street Players led by Artist in Residence Allison Yoshie Eldredge in a program commemorating Juneteenth featuring works of Duke Ellington, Aretha Franklin, Scott Joplin, and W. Grant Still. This hybrid program of live and recorded performances, in the progressive spirit of Nathaniel Allen, recognizes legendary Black Jazz Musicians and their influence on all genres of music and more.
