DESCRIPTION:Monday through Friday beginning July 6th \nThe Suzuki Preschool will be opening its doors to welcome back our preschoolers! We have planned a fun\, exciting curriculum that involves plenty of outdoor play while adhering to the new safety guidelines. We will be limiting the number of children enrolled to 10 children per session. SUMMARY:SCC Virtual Screening - The Nobel Snowflake
DESCRIPTION:Join the Scandinavian Cultural Center for an online screening of The Nobel Snowflake\, presented as part of Boston Design Week 2020. This film will be available online at xerb.tv\, from July 26th to August 1st. It is 59 minutes long and is presented in Swedish with English subtitles. Tickets are $5. Click here for more information and to register. \nThis film captures the competition for the head offices of the Nobel Centre in Stockholm\, presented as a nail-biting thriller. Nobel Snowflake follows the Swedish architect Gert Wingårdh on his quest to find the ultimate design\, in the shape of a snowflake. Eleven of the 175 teams are selected to take part\, among them Wingårdh. That’s when the problems really start. Kajsa Andersö’s film shows all the tragic and amusing aspects of the prestigious competition\, with an unexpected ending. An entertaining peek behind the scenes. \n

DESCRIPTION:Newton Cultural Development along with Village Bank and Newton Community Pride\, bring you Newton Performances in the Park!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nA small ensemble of string players from New Philharmonia Orchestra presents – Americana Potpourri – a “pops” style presentation will feature sights and sounds of America with touches of our melting pot heritage and will include short works of Sousa\, Joplin\, Beethoven and Strauss along with colorful Americana favorites and much more! \nTickets are free\, but limited and you MUST register in advance to attend. Please bring your ticket with you (electronic or hard copy). Click here to register. \n*Performance will be canceled in the event of rain. There will be no rain dates. \nCOVID SAFETY: \nAll performers will maintain a 25 foot distance from audience. The grounds will be marked for social distancing and safety of all attending. Audience members are encouraged to maintain a 6 foot distance and wear a face covering. No restrooms will be made available to the public.
