SUMMARY:Newton Free Library presents: Coral Reef Canvas Painting
DESCRIPTION:Paint a coral reef and sea life on a canvas! Looking up from the bottom of the sea we will create a painting using dramatic silhouettes of coral reef and sea life in black paint. Using different tones of blue mixed with white\, your eye will be drawn to the starburst of sunlight above.  This is a virtual event. Materials will be available for pick up a week prior to the event. For rising 6th-12th graders. Register here.

SUMMARY:Black Velvet Band at the Hyde Community Center
DESCRIPTION:During the summer\, the Hyde Community Center hosts an outdoor summer family concert and movie series on Friday nights\, featuring local bands and family-friendly films. A few times throughout the summer\, the bandstand is used to stage live theater productions\, and story-telling. These free events held in the Hyde Playground on the Hyde Community Center bandstand draw hundreds of local families. \nOn August 27th\, come see the Black Velvet Band\, followed by a showing of Mrs. Doubtfire.
