DESCRIPTION:The Hyde Community Center is proud to host its annual summer series featuring concerts\, movies\, theater productions and cultural celebrations. We hope you will join us in enjoying this wide range of family-friendly events at the Hyde Bandstand beginning this month. \nAll listed events are free and take place outside on the Hyde Bandstand and Playground. Unless otherwise noted\, events are Friday evening; concerts begin at 6 PM\, and movies start around dusk. Friday concerts and movies will move into the Hyde Gym in case of rain.

SUMMARY:Lunchtime Pop-Ups at The Allen Center
DESCRIPTION:What better way to celebrate National Farmers Market Week than with a Farmers’ Market on August 7th on the Allen Center patio? At this week’s pop-up the Allen Center welcomes one of the region’s top farms with sustainable growing practices–Farmer Tim’s Vegetables. But that’s just the beginning…One of Newton’s fave farmers’ market vendors–Hungry Ninja–is delivering their “we can’t believe they’re this good bowls” for lunch.  For those with a sweet tooth\, Sweet Dream will be stocked with pastries from North End’s Modern Pastry. (Yes\, Modern Pastry!) There’ll be summery retail shopping with Greentail Table and Fulfilled Goods. Back by popular demand\, Lynne’s Vintique is restocked with local\, organic honey from Peter Hauschka’s Farm (yes\, related to that Hauschka).  And budding lemonade entrepreneur and neighbor Lucy will be selling lemonade.
