SUMMARY:New Art Center: Textured Glass Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Create a low relief tile out of ceramic fiber (a soft material easily cut or torn) on top of which 3 layers of glass (8” x 11”) will be kiln fired at 1500 degrees. The glass sheets will become one solid piece with the imprint of your relief. You will have the option to add bright transparent colors to your project using colored pieces of thin fusible glass. Your fired artwork with display frame will be available for pickup a few weeks after class. Students must wear closed toe shoes\, and safety glasses or eyeglasses. Other materials provided. The full tour includes two different bottles of wine and a four-piece truffle box delivered to your door\, a live online tasting with The Urban Grape’s wine educator\, and an art history presentation from the wines’ region. Let us transport you to France\, Spain\, Italy\, and Portugal without stress\, jet lag\, or COVID-restrictions! \nFull tour with wine and chocolate (available inside the 128 loop): $175 per evening; begins at 6:00 pm. Ticket sales end 2 weeks before lecture. \nArt lecture only: $25 per evening; begins at 6:30 pm. \nDecember 17\, 2020 Phenomenal Portugal: Sample wine from Minho and Dao paired with chocolate and a selection of art.
