The production is being presented in a way that exceeds all applicable state and local regulations and guidance on public gatherings during these odd times. The shows will be presented outside on the grounds of Newton’s historic Durant-Kenrick House. DESCRIPTION:Boston Ballet School’s Classical Ballet Program Virtual Placement Classes  \nVirtual placement classes will take place at various times throughout the 2020/2021 school year.  Pre-registration is required and there is a $30 placement fee. During the class\, students should have access to a barre (a tall\, sturdy chair will work just fine as long as it’s safe and comfortable) and supportive flooring. Please note your placement applies to any Boston Ballet School location. Students attending a summer program at Boston Ballet School will be assessed for a level in the upcoming school year and are not required to attend a separate placement class. \nThe next placement class will be Saturday\, September 26\, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Please register using the link here. Registrants will be sent login instructions on September 25. More info here.

SUMMARY:All Newton Music School: Broadway Bound Online Class
DESCRIPTION:Actors will spend the Semester creating and exploring imaginative characters\, learning choreography\, and proper singing technique with director\, composer\, and playwright Kelvyn Koning; an experienced musical theatre educator. \nBroadway Bound will allow each actor to sing\, dance\, deliver lines\, and be part of a virtual theatrical ensemble which builds presence and self-confidence. \nCreative and engaging instructor Mr. Kelvyn will work with the young actors ideas to compose original music and scenes for each class as they prepare a virtual world premiere production! \nBefore filming\, the student will be provided with a Broadway Bound “Backstage” Box with all the costume pieces and props needed to film their scenes\, songs\, and choreography with flair! \nClick here for registration. \nAges 5-7 years\nSept. 12 to Jan. 16 – Saturdays: 1:00 – 1:45 pm \nAges 8-10 years\nSept. 10 to Jan. 7  – Thursday: 5:00 – 5:45 pm\nSept. 12 to Jan. 16 – Saturday: 1:45 – 2:30 pm
