SUMMARY:New Art Center Remote Class: Drawn to Paint
DESCRIPTION:This class is for beginners and more advanced students who wish to get grounded again in the basics. Learning to draw and learning to paint are treated as inseparable in this class. Half of each class will be spent drawing\, practicing specific skills which will help you see more precisely. The other half will be painting from observation (still life and model)\, focusing on underlying structure\, color and value relationships rather than on detail and “effects”. Bold work will result\, and learning to see as an artist is the point. See website for materials list (oil or acrylic) and more info. \n\n\nClass runs 4/2 to 5/14\, from 6:30PM to 9:30PM. DESCRIPTION:Enjoy painting at your own level and at your own pace in this supportive class environment\, with one-on-one teacher/student interaction. Unlock your hidden talents or expand the talents you have already nurtured. Learn to express yourself by working from a picture of your choice or a still-life set up\, exploring all the steps of the painting process\, including composition\, and paint mixing techniques. At the end of the session there will be an opportunity for the group to share accomplishments and ideas.
