SUMMARY:New Art Center presents Over the Rainbow
DESCRIPTION:Over the Rainbow will celebrate pride in our intergenerational connections— expressing from a queer perspective what is safe for us and for our youth. Including individual and collaborative work from children to elders of our beautiful community\, our goal is to encourage sharing resources between young people with energy and fresh ideas and the experiences and developed thoughts of our older generation. In tracing our queer lineage\, we are resisting our history being pushed to the back of the closet. \nFree and open to the public \nOpening Reception\nThursday\, May 25\, 2023\n6:00 – 8:00 PM

It began in 2015 when ten mosaicists came together at Mosaic Oasis in Arlington\, MA and started the discussion to form the society. Today\, its mission is to promote contemporary mosaic art while preserving traditional techniques. \n \nNEMS is committed to building a diverse and welcoming community of artists of all ability levels\, as well as lovers and supporters of mosaic art. Membership is open to all New England mosaic artists including amateurs\, professionals\, and mosaic suppliers.
