In 1909\, poor\, idealistic theology student Henrik Bergman falls in love with Anna Åkerbloom\, the intelligent\, educated daughter of a rich family in Uppsala. After their wedding Henrik becomes a priest in the north of Sweden. Urbane Anna can’t stand living in the rural county and grows increasingly restless. DESCRIPTION:OPEN MIC! \nAmherst Early Music will end the month with classes that will include an Open Mic event!\nJoin us for a FREE virtual recital! Saturday\, August 29\, at 1:00 pm ET. (The complete weekend schedule is TBA.)\nYou too can broadcast from your living room! We invite instrumentalists or singers to work up a short piece of music (5 minutes maximum) and play it for our supportive AEM community. Silent applause is guaranteed! DESCRIPTION:Join the Scandinavian Cultural Center for a virtual screening of Ingmar Bergman’s 1992 film The Best Intentions\, available throughout the month of August. \nSwedish master Ingmar Bergman penned this loving tribute to his parent’s epic romance. In 1909\, poor\, idealistic theology student Henrik Bergman falls in love with Anna Åkerbloom\, the intelligent\, educated daughter of a rich family in Uppsala. After their wedding Henrik becomes a priest in the north of Sweden. Urbane Anna can’t stand living in the rural county and grows increasingly restless. It is simple to do at home and needs no special paper. These live online classes will follow the skills of the students and adjust projects accordingly. We will learn about the history of Origami as well as the names and vocabulary of different folds.
