SUMMARY:New Art Center online: “Sculpting” Your Watercolors
DESCRIPTION:New Art Live Online Learning – Weekly online class at designated class times. New Art faculty conduct a real-time class through Zoom video meetings. \n\nExplore a unique method of developing a watercolor painting by using contact paper to create a template. Starting with a loose and playful watercolor wash\, we will use misting and tilting techniques to allow the colors to mix on the paper. Then we will develop the paintings using contact paper to facilitate various lifting methods\, and employ glazing techniques with emphasis on creative modeling and developing lost and found edges. A variety of lifting techniques useful for any watercolor painting will be demonstrated. See materials list on website.

DESCRIPTION:Actors will spend the Semester creating and exploring imaginative characters\, learning choreography\, and proper singing technique with director\, composer\, and playwright Kelvyn Koning; an experienced musical theatre educator. \nBroadway Bound will allow each actor to sing\, dance\, deliver lines\, and be part of a virtual theatrical ensemble which builds presence and self-confidence. \nCreative and engaging instructor Mr. Kelvyn will work with the young actors ideas to compose original music and scenes for each class as they prepare a virtual world premiere production! \nBefore filming\, the student will be provided with a Broadway Bound “Backstage” Box with all the costume pieces and props needed to film their scenes\, songs\, and choreography with flair! \nClick here for registration. \nAges 5-7 years\nSept. 12 to Jan. 16 – Saturdays: 1:00 – 1:45 pm \nAges 8-10 years\nSept. 10 to Jan. 7  – Thursday: 5:00 – 5:45 pm\nSept. 12 to Jan. 16 – Saturday: 1:45 – 2:30 pm

New Art faculty conduct a real-time class through Zoom video meetings. \n\n\nThis three-hour digital photography workshop is designed for teens to explore and have fun with digital photography. The workshop will focus on photography fundamentals\, composition\, the exposure triangle\, and a fun photo project. Students will need to bring a digital camera (with controllable settings and dials preferred) and the manual or reference if available.
