He was a writer\, playwright\, composer\, philosopher\, social reformer and painter who won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1913. Maitreyee is trained in the classical Indian vocal tradition. \nWhen the world crumbles around us\, death tolls rise and intolerance grows\, Rabindranath Tagore’s words and music offer solace and perspective. \nThis program is supported by a grant from the Newton Cultural Council. \nRegistration for this program will end two hours before the start time. Andersen is known for his world-famous fairytales from “The Little Mermaid” to “The Ugly Duckling\,” “The Emperor’s New Clothes\,” and many more.\nExhibit will be on display in the Nordic Hall\, September – October 2021 \nOpening Night Reception: Saturday\, September 25th | 7pm  | please register here \nSusanne Thea will be introduced by Bruce Bro\, President of the National Foundation for Danish America.
