SUMMARY:Newton Community Chorus Auditions
DESCRIPTION:The Newton Community Chorus begins it’s 42nd season on September 11\, 2023.\nCome sing with the chorus that’s been a Newton tradition for 42 years. We’re beginning our rehearsals on Monday\, September 11th at 7:00 PM. This winter we’ll perform Dvorak’s Stabat Mater and Mozart’s Vespers de Solennes. Our chorus sings the finest in choral music led by our Music Director Richard Travers; our concerts usually feature guest soloists and orchestra. Our winter concert will be held on January 20\, 2024 at Grace Episcopal Church in Newton Corner.\nOur auditions are simple–come to a rehearsal on September 11\, 18 or 25th and sing with us. After rehearsal (around 8:30)\, you’ll individually sing a few bars from the music we sang earlier that evening for our Music Director Richard Travers and a few members. If you can match pitch and can follow along\, it’s easy.
