She says: “Reconsidering is the process of dismantling fed beliefs\, truths and distorted images of who we really are as women of color in an oppressive social construct.”

Kai has come here to end their life\, and Halen tries to stop the attempt. We learn that Halen committed suicide in the same spot two years earlier\, and has reappeared to support Kai in this time of crisis. This play employs magical realism in an ultimately uplifting story about depression\, grief\, metaphysics\, and the transcendent nature of love. \nORGANIC by Jenna Jane \nIn a future where everyone is enhancing their bodies with the latest tech\, 81-year-old Donna Goldman is an anomaly – she’s 100 percent organic. For one night only\, Valerie is bringing her newest NINA Tribute production “NINA SIMONE & Hip Hop” to New Repertory Theatre audiences! \n\nValerie Stephens is a multi-talented performing artist known for work in music\, theater\, storytelling and production. Valerie is also known for her commitment to Nina Simone’s Legacy having created a series celebratory concerts. The most recent is Nina Simone & Hip Hop. For her artistic work and community commitment Valerie has received a Brother Thomas Fellowship with an unrestricted award of $15\,000. She has also received a Bridge Award in Arts\, a Boston City Council Resolution for her community arts programming and performances\, and a Get Konnected! Boston Legends & Pioneers Award\, a NAACP Image Award\, an Urban Music Award in Blues and Citations of Appreciation from Boston\, New Bedford and Springfield.
