*The Hyde Community Center hosts Summer In the Highlands, an outdoor summer family concert and movie series on Friday nights. This Friday enjoy the sounds of the Soft Touch Dance Band followed by the movie Mummies. Bring your picnic blanket and hang out with your neighbors at this family-friendly community event. *Historic Newton hosts a Walking Tour: North of the Tracks in Newton Corner on Sunday, August 6th at 3:00 pm. The tour will focus on the neighborhood’s immigrant history, highlighting historical socio-economic divides in Newton that relate to today. It will incorporate a discussion of the building of the Pike and its Newton Corner exits, as well as a discussion of issues in housing equity. Register for North of the Tracks here.
