*The Newton Art Association hosts the first exhibition of the NAA 2023-2024 year with a reception and awards ceremony on Wednesday, September 13th at 7:00 pm. The 2024 Annual Membership Show at the Newton Free Library runs September 1st-29th. See what new works members have been making at this non-juried show.
*On Saturday, September 16th at 10:30 am the New Art Center hosts a Paste Paper Collage Workshop with Nan Rumpf, designed to be both an enjoyable and playful introductory art project. For the art novice or the more experienced artists, this workshop will further develop skills in composition, pattern making, and design.
*Join The Scandinavian Cultural Center for a very special performance on Saturday, September 16th at 1:00 pm to celebrate the release of Bruno Råberg’s debut solo bass album, Look Inside. Bassist Bruno Råberg melds a lifetime of inspiration and experience into his stunning debut solo bass album. Look Inside, culls influences from throughout Råberg’s notable career, including jazz standards, free improvisation, and world music influences.
