*Newton Nomadic Theater presents The Village Cidiot for 2 nights only on Friday – Saturday, October 6-7th at 7:30 pm at The Allen Center. When a lifelong New York City couple gets laid off from their jobs, they pack up everything and move to a tiny village in the Berkshires. They discover that the locals call them and the other transplanted New Yorkers “Cidiots.” Don’t be a “Cidiot” and get your tickets now.
*Join the Scandinavian Cultural Center for Cinnamon Bun Day on Saturday, October 7th in the Kaffestugan with regular cinnamon buns and cardamom buns. Eat these delicious treats and stay for a screening of the Norwegian film Childhood at 1:00 p.m. Childhood tells a crucial story about children’s needs, at a time when playing is increasingly marginalized. This observational documentary follows the children in Aurora Kindergarten throughout the year. Register here for the free 1:00 p.m. documentary.
