*The First Church in Chestnut Hill presents Follow the Honey, Follow the Heart on Thursday, November 7, at 7:00 p.m. at 26 Suffolk Road, Chestnut Hill. Join First Church in Chestnut Hill for a look at global beekeeping and fostering business relationships that stimulate economic development through “human rights” honey with C.O.O. *All Newton Music School presents its Con Brio Lunch Club on Friday, November 8, at 11:00 a.m. at their location at 321 Chestnut Street, West Newton. Take a peek behind the musical curtain with violist Scott Woolweaver. Joined by talented musical guests, Woolweaver presents fascinating composer anecdotes and chamber music, while you enjoy lunch, coffee, tea, and dessert with friends. Single tickets are $30. *The Scandinavian Cultural Center presents Voices of Scandinavia on Saturday, November 9, at 1:00 p.m. at their location at 206 Waltham Street, West Newton. Brothers Lawrence Wilde and Charles Boguinia come together to present a program of piano music by Edward Grieg and new compositions for the Swedish nyckelharpa, violin, and piano inspired by Swedish and Norwegian Folk music. The concert will open with a pre-concert discussion about Scandinavian folk music and a demonstration of the Swedish nyckelharpa. Cost is $15, $7 for SCC members. *Newton Nomadic Theater presents The Revolutionists on Sunday, November 10, at 4:00 p.m. at Dunn-Gaherin’s Food & Spirits, 344 Elliot Street, Newton. Join Newton Nomadic Theater for its final performance of “The Revolutionists”! Four women lose their heads in this hilarious and poignant comedy set during the French Revolution. *Newton Free Library presents a Poetry Reading & Open Mic on Tuesday, November 12, at 7:00 p.m. in their Druker Auditorium, 330 Homer Street, Newton. The Poetry Series continues with readings by Jennifer Matthews, Lo Galluccio and Jojo Lazar. An open mic will follow with a limit of one poem per person. Come early to sign up for the open mic; limited slots are available, time permitting. The series is facilitated by Doug Holder of Ibbetson Street Press. FREE and open to the public.
