*On Saturday, March 8th at 7:00 pm Commonwealth Chorale performs a concert inspired by the wheel of fortune, Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana. It begins and ends with warnings about the twists of fate. Enjoy this rare opportunity to hear Carmina Burana with a full orchestra and all the additional power, drama, and liveliness that instruments bring to these medieval poems. *Get ready for an unforgettable evening of electrifying music on Saturday, March 8th at 7:30 pm. Cherry Street Music’s Artistic Director and international soloist cellist, Allison Eldredge, returns to The Allen Center stage with Classical with a Twist: Musical Kaleidoscope. This time, the twist is an alluring collaboration with the award-winning Boston String Academy, led by Co-Directors Mariesther and Marielisa Alvarez featuring explosive performances of Mahler, Shostakovich, and Piazzolla.

*On Saturday, March 8th at 7:30 pm, Bay Colony Brass performs Prokofiev, Penderecki, and Puccini at Second Church in Newton. The program will include Krystof Penderecki – Danziger Fanfare, Giacomo Puccini – Music from Tosca, and Sergei Prokofiev – Suite from Romeo and Juliet, Wedding of Kije. *Conifer Quartet performs this Sunday, March 9th at 3:00 pm. The Salon Series is Pro Arte’s chamber music concert series at The Allen Center. This performance features a select handful of musicians from Pro Arte’s cooperative, Colin Davis, Steven Laven, Lisa Goddard, and Anne Black. They present musical gems not featured in the full orchestral Ensemble Series. This performance will include Mozart’s String Quartet No. 15 in D minor, K. 421 and Dvorak String Quartet No. 13 in G major, Op. 106. Tickets for this musical gem on sale now.

*On Sunday, March 9th at 3:00 pm, The Highland Glee Club sings songs of knighthood, heroism, mythic visions, and the supernatural with Game of “Tones”.
