*Spend the morning of Saturday, November 13th with Historic Newton helping to care for the East Parish Burying Ground, the largest and oldest of Newton’s three historic burying grounds. Rake leaves, collect rubbish, and prune shrubs that are encroaching on historic gravestones. Please bring rakes, gloves, or tarps if you have them and wear sturdy shoes. Come for part or all of the time. Further cleanup info is found here.
*The Scandinavian Cultural Center presents Jazz on Tap with dancer Alex MacDonald and pianist improviser Alex Pryrodny. On Saturday, November 13th at 1:00 p.m., Jazz on Tap will present a fun and educational program that pays tribute to the historical roots of each discipline while fusing them in new ways. MacDonald and Pryrodny will get your hands clapping and your feet moving to the rhythms with their creativity and lightning-speed communication. Register here to get jazzed about Jazz on Tap.
