*Join The Newton Art Association for a Demonstration by Anton Nowels on Thursday, December 8th, at 7:00 pm. In this presentation, award-winning artist Anton Nowels will demonstrate how he uses abstraction and impressionism in painting. Nowels uses an experimental approach to color developed by Josef Albers that allows for a great range of color choices. This live-streamed event can be accessed here.
*The Newton Cultural Alliance welcomes children and their families to An Invitation to Imagine. This program will take families inside the Allen Homestead on Sunday, December 11th from 3:00 – 4:00 pm for a new educational program that shares its history. Look 150 years back to what it would have been like to live and learn at the Allen home. Guests will explore the history and learn about the family, the students, the school, and the unique curriculum. Please register here for this free program.
*The New Phil Orchestra is thrilled to bring back its favorite holiday tradition Celebrations! on Sunday, December 11th at 3:00 pm featuring the Boston Ballet School. Boston Ballet School students perform alongside the New Phil Orchestra with scenes from the Nutcracker.
