The Highland Glee Club Sings Songs of Ireland, Scotland, and Wales
Join us March 16th, 3 PM at the War Memorial Auditorium of Newton’s City Hall at 1000 Commonwealth for an afternoon of Celtic melodies.
Highlights:
gorgeous Vaughan Williams men’s voice arrangements of “Loch Lomand” and “The Turtle Dove”;
a reprise by incomparable Irish tenor Connor Vigeant of “Turn Ye to Me,” (the ballad made famous by the quintessential Irish tenor of yesteryear, John McCormack);
a performance on the uilleann (Irish) pipes by virtuoso Dan Meyers;
favorites like “Danny Boy” and “Suo Gan,” along with equally beautiful songs you probably haven’t heard yet;
all performed by a group of good-lookin’ men IN KILTS.
