*The Allen Center is pleased to announce its newest gallery exhibition of figurines and paintings entitled, Susan Adler: A Life Seen, A Legacy Remembered, running now through December 8th. On Saturday, November 2nd at 6:30 pm join us for an evening reception with a presentation and celebration of Susan Seidner Adler’s life and work. Please register below if you plan on attending.

*Historic Newton presents Uncovering Your Home’s History on Saturday, November 2nd at 10:00 am. Are you curious about the history of your home but don’t know where to start? In this workshop, learn from the lead researcher of the House Marker Program. Historic Newton will guide you through using available resources and creating a matrix of information about a property. Register here to uncover your home’s history.

*Enjoy two events at The Scandinavian Cultural Center & Library. On Friday, November 1st at 10:00 am create a useful and decorative wool Viking hot mat with Fine Artist Merry Beninato. Then on Saturday, November 2nd at 7:30 pm attend Trolls and More…. folklore, traditions, and tails of everything magical within Scandinavian mythology presented by Sons of Norway. *This Saturday, November 2nd at 7:30 pm, Bay Colony Brass’ Music Director Philip Sanborn leads Newton’s 20-member band in a wide-ranging concert of out-of-this-world music at Second Church in Newton. Enjoy music from Star Trek and a galaxy full of songs about stars. Admission to Space and Beyond is free.
