*The first ever Newton Craft Crawl begins Saturday, December 14th with an event at The Allen Center from 1:00 – 3:00 pm. Roll up your sleeves and get ready to get crafty. Participants will be serenaded with live holiday music while they’re busy decorating holiday cookies alongside Naisbel Azarak and Haylee Kulig—two professional pastry chefs from NaisLee Catering. *Bay Colony Brass finishes their rendition of holiday tunes at A Bay Colony Christmas on Saturday, December 14th at 7:30 pm. Check out the festive frivolity at St Borromeo Church in Woburn. Get directions and more for this brass experience.
*Cherry Street Music’s Classical With A Twist series performs on Sunday, December 15th at 3:00 pm wrapping up their shows for 2024 with I’ve Got Rhythm. Enjoy Gershwin favorites such as Rhapsody in Blue, and Brahms’ G minor Piano Quartet. Tickets are selling at a rhythmic pace here.
*On Sunday, December 15th at 3:00 pm, The New Philharmonia Orchestra + Boston Ballet School perform scenes from the Nutcracker at Brown Middle School. Celebrations! is all the Tchaikovsky you love, plus other holiday favorites like Sleigh Ride, Frozen, and Let There Be Peace on Earth. Celebrate with this annual mash-up sure to please the music and dance lover.
*The Newton Art Association is off to a fresh start for the New Year! Out with the old, in with the new. Join NAA for the Winter Expo at the Allen Center. A great place, a great time, and a great venue to celebrate the holidays. Reception and awards ceremony with the artists on Tuesday, December 17th from 6 – 7:30 pm. Enjoy a jolly time with a glass of wine.
