Through the Ages: Fantasy & Fairytales

Three acclaimed Boston musicians come together for an imaginative journey across centuries of music. Violist Stephanie Fong and clarinetist Kai-Yun Lu, both frequent performers with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, join international prize-winning pianist Dr. Anran Qian for an evening of fantasy, storytelling, and musical conversation. From Telemann’s elegant Fantasia and Mozart’s beloved Kegelstatt Trio to Caroline Shaw’s contemporary reimagining of Chopin and the magical world of Schumann’s Fairy Tales, the program brings Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and contemporary voices together in a colorful exploration of music across the ages.
