This two-hour workshop introduces expressive marker lettering. Begin with some basic letter strokes and then construct and practice the basic alphabet. Then the fun begins, with letter variations and writing words. This is just a jumping-off point to learning lettering with brush-style markers. These letters are useful for anyone who likes to create cards or does art journaling.

Handouts provided will include a road map to this study, with letter strokes, letters with directional arrows, practice space, and then variations. There will also be an assortment of different brands of brush markers for students to try and information on where to purchase the various items.

Nights Out At New Art are fun, informal, and open to people of all artistic abilities. New Art provides the materials and tickets for two glasses of wine. Open to students ages 21+.
