Newton Free Library presents: 13 Moons and 12,000 Years – Honoring Indigenous Peoples’ Day

October 12, 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

In recognition of Indigenous Peoples’ Day, join Tim Turner, an Indigenous Educator from the Plimoth Pawtuxet Museums, for a unique conversation that explores 12,000 years of Wampanoag history and how communities past and present have adapted and sustained their seasonal, 13-moon lifecycles amid changing natural, social and political landscapes. He will also touch on tribal history specific to the Newton area. This program is cosponsored by the Newton Human Rights Commission.

Registration for this program will end two hours before the start time. The login information will be sent just after registration closes. Please be sure to check your spam folder in case it lands there.
