*New Art Center’s Zoom class Exploring the Beauty of Letterforms starts tomorrow Thursday, April 30, and runs through Thursday, May 7, from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. In this two-session drawing workshop, you’ll design your own sign, create your own letterforms, play with shape, negative space, pattern, rhythm, embellishment, etc. No drawing skills necessary! *Amherst Early Music is pleased to offer four online-class sessions this Saturday, May 2, and Sunday, May 3, at either 1:00 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. Classes include Contemporary Solo Recorder and Ensemble Dances from the 16th and early 17th Centuries. *Newton Free Library presents a Livestream Concert with David McGrory on Sunday, May 3, at 2:00 p.m. Join pianist, David McGrory, for an hour of classical music brimming with joy. He will perform works by Debussy, Beethoven, and Chopin. Mr. McGrory has received wide acclaim for his performances throughout the United Kingdom, Germany, and the United States. *NewTV’s Education Channel is featuring Classic Movie Sundays in May! This Sunday, May 3, at 7:00 p.m. enjoy The Strange Love of Martha Ivers (1946). Barbara Stanwyck stars in this film noir drama about a woman torn between her husband and her childhood love. On Sunday at 7:00 p.m., tune into Comcast 99, RCN 3 (629 for HD), or Verizon 32 (2134 for HD) and enjoy. *Suzuki School of Newton presents its Suzuki Prep Online Sessions beginning Tuesday, May 5, and run through Tuesday, June 9, at 1:00 p.m. Students, ages 0 to 4, will sing, move to music, and perform pre-instrumental Suzuki activities from the comfort of their own home, guided by an accompanying adult caregiver and their trained Suzuki teachers.
