Newton Free Library presents The Refugee Experience: Stories from Our Neighbors (Zoom)

People facing humanitarian catastrophes in their native countries have sought refuge in the United States throughout history. Join us for a panel discussion with neighbors whose families were forced to leave Austria, Cambodia, and Haiti. These individuals will speak about their countries of origin, their families’ exodus, and their adjustment to the U.S. This program is co-sponsored by Historic Newton.

The panelists will be:

  • Danielle Georges
  • Hanni Myers
  • Clara Silverstein of Historic Newton will moderate
