|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 5:30 pm on Monday and Wednesday, repeating until June 22, 2022

“Back to Basics / Review / New Intro” Wednesdays 5:30-6:45pm EST: June 1, 8, 15 & 22

Open to all instrumentalists and singers! Pitch: A=440.

After a year of focused work on 15th-century notation topics, we close our current season before the summer break with a 4-week online series featuring a “casual” selection of shorter pieces from late 15th and early 16th century sources. This series is designed for both ongoing students to review some of the basic concepts of mensural notation, to deepen and enjoy the fluency gained over the past few months of studies, and for new students to join in for a first practical experience with mensural notation… $100 for four sessions, recordings of each class are available during the week after class… See the complete description for these classes, and sign up here!
